ililx privacy policy
Last updated: June 2, 2026
This policy covers the ililx browser extension ("copy as ililx link"). The extension repurposes the share button on a tweet on X so that clicking it copies an ililx.com link to that tweet onto your clipboard.
What we collect
Nothing. The extension collects no personal data, sends no data to any server, and uses no analytics, tracking, cookies, or accounts. It has no background activity.
How it works
- When you click a tweet's share button, the extension reads only that tweet's username and status ID from the page, builds the matching ililx.com link, and writes it to your clipboard.
- This all happens locally in your browser. The extension makes no network requests of its own.
- The clipboard is only written to, in direct response to your click. It is never read.
Permissions
- clipboardWrite: to place the copied link on your clipboard.
- Host access to x.com and twitter.com: so the extension can run on those pages, where tweets and their share buttons exist. It does not run anywhere else.
Data sharing
Because no data is collected, none is sold, shared, or transferred to anyone.
A note on the links
When you later paste an ililx.com link and someone opens it, ililx.com fetches that tweet's public content to render a preview. That is standard web server activity and is not connected to the extension or to you.
